  • What is a Verification?

    This is the process LEM VERIFY uses to define the accuracy of the information supplied by your client to us to define its accuracy and report back.

  • How Do I send a verification?

    There are three verification methods available to use:
    VIDEO & DOCUMENT COMBINATION
    DOCUMENT AUTHENTICATION
    VIDEO IDENTITY

    Choose which Verification from above you want to use, then below you will have three options to send:
    EMAIL - Click this button and add the email address of the recipient - they will receive an email with a clickable button which will take them directly to the test, with instructions to complete the check.
    SMS - Click this button and add the phone number of the recipient - they will receive a text message with a clickable link which will take them directly to the test, with instructions to complete the check.
    LINK - ( BEST FOR MULTIPLE VERIFICATIONS ) Click this button and COPY the LINK.
    You can attach this to your own WEBSITE or WEBSITE BUTTON, GROUP EMAIL, GROUP EMAIL, WHATSAPP etc.
    This will enable multiple users to click on the same link and complete your verifications.

  • What is a Video & Document Combination?

    The one test COMBINATION which asks the user to complete both the VIDEO IDENTITY and DOCUMENT AUTHENTICATION checks.
    Following both checks a FACIAL COMPARISON CHECK between the TWO results confirms whether the document belongs to the person in the VIDEO IDENTITY check.
    The REPORT is sent to your DASHBOARD and EMAIL (ACCOUNT SETUP)
    COMBINATION can request via ACCOUNT SETUP one document or two PASSPORT/DRIVING LICENCE (with address being a necessary requirement). Please select which option you would like before sending this Verification.
    SMART SEARCH can be integrated with COMBINATION and CLIENT REVIEW

  • How do I set up my Combination test?

    CLICK on ACCOUNT SETUP and scroll down to VIDEO AND DOCUMENT VERIFICATION:
    There you can select which Test you want your User to Complete by CLICKING on the relevant TICK BOX option.
    Please select which option you would like before sending this Verification.

  • What is a Video Identity Check?

    Our Version of Facial Recognition, which ensures the user is a real person.
    The user who receives the test completes the test as per the instructions and is required to look into the camera on their web device and say 3 words followed by making 3 head movements.
    The test ensures spoofs and fake pictures and videos placed in front of the camera DO NOT PASS the Test so you can be assured the person is REAL.
    You will receive a REPORT with the results of the Test and a VIDEO PLAYBACK option to review the Test yourself.

  • What is a Document Authentication Test?

    Our own software checks PASSPORTS and DRIVING LICENCES for all the correct marks and features whilst ensuring no manipulation to the document has been conducted.
    You can send this test to your user to complete.
    They can either take a picture of the document using their web camera device/smartphone or upload the document from their pictures or files.
    You will receive a REPORT with the results of the Test and an IMAGE of the document(s) to Review yourself if required.

  • How do I send a verification to a group of people?

    You can CHOOSE your verification TEST you wish your USERS to complete.
    Then CLICK on LINK against the option you have decided.
    COPY and PASTE the link to the following options for multiple users to CLICK on the SAME link to COMPLETE:
    Group email
    SMS
    Whatsapp
    Blackberry messenger
    Website
    Website form BUTTON

    Each time the link is clicked on a new test and ID will be created for the user to complete and the REPORTS will follow into your DASHBOARD.
    The credits will be deducted as each test is completed.

  • Which verification delivery method is the best for me? (Link, SMS or email)

    When selecting the delivery method it is important to decide what you want to achieve:
    EMAIL - type the email address of the recipient and they will automatically receive an email from LEM VERIFY with a button to click onto, which will take them directly to the test to complete.
    SMS - type the phone number of the recipient and they will automatically receive an SMS from LEM VERIFY with a button to click onto, which will take them directly to the test to complete.
    LINK (Group verifications) - You can CHOOSE your verification TEST you wish your USERS to complete.
    Then CLICK on LINK against the option you have decided.

    COPY and PASTE the link to the following options for multiple users to CLICK on the SAME link to COMPLETE:
    Group email
    SMS
    Whatsapp
    Blackberry messenger
    Website
    Website form BUTTON

  • What happens if my client doesn’t complete a verification within 30 days?

    If the user does not complete a verification within 30 days it will be cancelled and you will be notified by email, API and on your DASHBOARD.

  • What are Integrations?

    LEM believes integrations help you get more from our verification process.
    From the DASHBOARD you can click on INTEGRATIONS and see the pre connected options you can use.
    All you need to do is complete the fields and CLICK on CONNECT.
    Then you can enjoy more features and tools with LEM VERIFY connecting third party companies.

    Example:
    SMART SEARCH (advanced searches) integration.

    Add your SMART SEARCH key, username and risk level from your account.
    Receive automated Reports from SMART SEARCH when your USERS complete a COMBINATION.

  • How do I connect to Smart Search?

    First you will need to contact Smart Search to create an account.
    Then CLICK from the DASHBOARD on INTEGRATIONS.
    CLICK on SETUP SMART SEARCH.
    COMPLETE the fields and CLICK CONNECT.
    You will now be able to receive automated REPORTS from SMART SEARCH once your USER completes a COMBINATION VERIFICATION.

  • How do I connect a link to my web form for clients to complete online?

    LINK (Group verifications) - You can CHOOSE your verification TEST you wish your USERS to complete.
    Then CLICK on LINK against the option you have decided.
    COPY and PASTE the link into the WEBSITE BUTTON URL.
    Each time the link is clicked on a new test and ID will be created for the user to complete and the REPORTS will follow into your DASHBOARD.
    The credits will be deducted as each test is completed.

  • How do I edit my company profile?

    From the DASHBOARD go to ACCOUNT SETUP and CLICK to enter.
    COMPANY PROFILE section you can view the options you can edit to personalise to your companies profile.
    You can change the LOGO, SMS delivery name, EMAIL delivery name and the company colours to suit how your customers view verifications sent to them from the LEM VERIFY system.
    Follow the instructions in the section to make sure it is setup correctly

  • How do I receive email reports?

    From the DASHBOARD go to ACCOUNT SETUP and CLICK to enter.
    SCROLL down to GENERAL SETTINGS.
    CLICK the tick box on VERIFICATION EMAIL RESULT.
    Enter the email address where you want it delivered and CLICK on the ORANGE TICK to confirm.

  • How do I set up automatic reviews?

    From the DASHBOARD go to ACCOUNT SETUP and CLICK to enter.
    SCROLL down to SCHEDULED REVIEWS.
    CLICK the tick box to enable the feature.
    Select the amount of months you wish for your USER to redo the check and then click on the ORANGE TICK to confirm.
    When you next send a COMBINATION to a user once they have completed the check, the USER will be added to the SCHEDULED REVIEWS
    To view who is there you can CLICK on SCHEDULED REVIEWS from the DASHBOARD.
    You can DELETE or SEND NOW from this area.

  • How do I download reports into my files?

    From the Dashboard CLICK on the USER whose RESULTS you wish to view.
    Then CLICK on the LEM REPORT or/and SMART SEARCH REPORT then CLICK download.
    You can also have the REPORTS sent to your selected EMAIL by organising in ACCOUNT SET UP.
    REPORTS and DATA are deleted automatically forever after 7 days.

  • How do I know your recommendation is correct?

    Our recommendation is based on a number of tests to ensure we are confident about providing you with the most suitable recommendation and score too.
    Our technology has been tested for spoofs, fakes and taking into account all the tricks fraudsters use in todays battle with online identity fraud.
    For your peace of mind we show you what we see too, so you can also view video footage, documents images and our analysis on all the areas we have covered

  • How long does it take to set up with Lem?

    To set up an ACCOUNT with us all you need to do is go on our website and CLICK to SIGNUP.
    There you will enter your email address and create a password to confirm.

  • Do you offer an APP or API?

    No we do not offer an APP, but if you want to connect your app to our software you can find our API in the ACCOUNT SETUP or CONTACT US for the documentation to setup which is FREE.

  • My client has been referred, what now?

    If a USER is REFERRED then it means they have failed part of the test.
    At this point you can review the available information we provide you with, which may help you make a decision.

  • The ID was not recognised, what now?

    Occasionally an ID may not be on our system to match against. In this instance we will HOLD the ID for up to 30 DAYS before deciding whether it is genuine or not.
    In the meantime you are also able to review the image and make a decision faster if you are in a position to do so.

  • Who is Lem Verify for?

    LEM is for companies looking to correctly identify people online and reduce fraud whilst making the process faster, more efficient and user friendly.

  • Do I need to log in to see results?

    You can view RESULTS and DOWNLOAD REPORTS from your ACCOUNT.
    Also you can SETUP your results to be delivered to your selected EMAIL address from ACCOUNT SETUP.

  • Do I need to log in to know if I have results to view?

    We notify you by EMAIL when a VERIFICATION RESULT has been completed.
    You may attach the email report to this via ACCOUNT SETUP.

  • Can I add my terms and conditions for client facing verifications?

    YES.
    From the DASHBOARD go to ACCOUNT SETUP and CLICK to enter.
    SCROLL down to COMPANY INFORMATION.
    Complete the information to GO LIVE and add the URL of your own Companies Terms if you do not wish to use ours.
    Then CLICK on the orange UPDATE COMPANY INFORMATION button to submit your GO LIVE REQUEST.

  • How can I contact you?

    From the DASHBOARD you can CLICK on SUPPORT and EMAIL us or EMAIL us info@lemdata.com

  • How do I search for a client?

    From the DASHBOARD you can ENTER the NAME of the USER in the SEARCH BAR. It will bring to your attention the RESULT of the SEARCH

  • How long do you keep my clients personal information stored?

    All data is DELETED AUTOMATICALLY after 7 days.
    In some situations for our machine learning improvements we may keep certain data for up to 30 days.

  • What happens after the personal information is deleted?

    It is gone and not retrievable.

  • How do I known when I run out of credit?

    We will notify you by email when you are running low on credits and also when you have none left.
    You will not be able to view RESULTS of unpaid for VERIFICATIONS until you have added more CREDIT.

  • Auto-renew credits

    When making a payment to buy credits you will be automatically listed for auto renew payments.
    When you reach 10% of your credits remaining, the card will be auto-charged with the package you initially selected, with your credits being topped up accordingly on the dashboard.

  • How do I cancel Auto-renew credits?

    Once you have made a payment for credits you will be listed to renew your payments automatically.
    To cancel this option, following payment you can click on the "disable automatic top ups" button.
    The option to disable the facility is available at anytime until the next payment is made.

  • How do I Go Live?

    Once you are ready to upgrade your account from Trial to GO LIVE.
    You need to click on the ACCOUNT SETUP which is located on the DASHBOARD.
    Then scroll down to the COMPANY INFORMATION section.
    Enter your company information and then CLICK - UPDATE COMPANY INFORMATION.
    You will then be notified by email within 24 hours, when your account has been accepted to GO LIVE.

  • What does Go Live mean?

    Once you GO LIVE (confirm your company details).
    You can to send verifications to any of your customers.
    Unlock features to send verifications via SMS delivery or produce a multi verification LINK
    Add INTEGRATIONS to your LEM account.

  • Is LEM GDPR compliant?

    Yes, we delete all the data we process after 7 days. In some cases we may hold certain information for up to 30 days before deleting. Please see our Privacy Policy and Terms for futher information.

  • What does it cost to use LEM VERIFY?

    It is FREE to SIGNUP and keep a LEM VERIFY account.
    To buy more credits CLICK on the CREDITS button on the HOMEPAGE and you will see the different options to buy CREDITS to send out verifications when you need to.

  • What is Redaction?

    Our easy to use redaction system ensures you are GDPR compliant at all stages of verification. The verified documents sent to your for storage and downstream processing will only contain the fields you require.


    This add-on feature allows you to only view and download the information required for your business process and stay within scope for legal basis and data minimisation as part of any GDPR compliance. Knowing what data you receive ensures you are consistent with your GDPR Data Map and Privacy Policy.
